Turn the roof of your Bush Company tent into a rack. These extruded aluminium load bars bolt into the tent's Ezi-Slot channels and carry solar panels, recovery tracks and other gear, with their own Ezi-Slot channel along the top for accessories.


Sold as a set of two bars. Choose 1390mm for the AX27, TX27, DX27 and LX27 Gen 2 (with High Foot Mounts), or 1590mm for the TX27 MAX. Matte black powder coat with stainless steel hardware.

Rooftop Tent Load Bars: a rack on the roof of your tent

Our hard shell tents are built to carry gear on the roof when they're closed. These load bars bolt straight into the tent's Ezi-Slot channels, so there's no drilling, and give you a solid base for solar panels, recovery tracks and other kit.

Which length?

Built for the roof

  • Extruded aluminium with a matte black powder coat, and a low profile that keeps wind noise down.
  • Ezi-Slot channel along each bar takes our accessory brackets and M8 bolts, so you can move gear around without drilling.
  • Stainless steel hardware to resist corrosion on coastal trips.
  • Add the Load Bar High Foot Mount to lift the bars 60mm (2.4in) for more clearance under solar panels or flat storage.

How much can they carry?

The bars are rated to 100kg (220.5 lb) per set, but the limit on the roof is always the lowest rating in the chain. The tents are rated, closed, to 200kg (440.9 lb) dynamic (AX27), 100kg (220.5 lb) dynamic (LX27 Gen 2) and 75kg (165.3 lb) dynamic (TX27 and TX27 MAX). As with any roof-mounted gear, add up everything carried on top and confirm the total is within the dynamic roof load ratings of your tent, rack and vehicle.
